Laura Oakes - Friends Meeting House

Laura is at the forefront of the UK's rapidly growing country scene and has performed at many prestigious festivals and stages.

A Nashville sound, surprisingly born out of Liverpool. Because of her love of country music, she persuades her parents to send her to Nashville for her 18th Birthday.  

When released her debut Self-Titled EP to iTunes in the summer of 2015 and was also awarded the prize of 'Female Vocalist of the Year' by The British Country Music Association twice in a row (2015 and 2016).

Her set tonight started with a slower tempo and built into a lively finish. She played all of her brand-new EP ‘How Big Is Your World’, giving interesting insight into to her musical journey and background to her songs and writing process. This was her first gig of a six venue mini-tour, her second in Laura's home town of Liverpool.
